The Dutch Association of Diabetics organises a large number of courses annually. Many of those are given by volunteers at a regional level. However there are also national courses, with relatively high costs. The DVN has taken steps to provide these courses (partially) as e-learning courses. All self-study material can now be prepared at home.
Using the i-Learning platform, we established a basis from which the DVN, as the first in its field, has developed the course in hypo unawareness. The result is a combination of text, films and explanations, which are then followed by a test at the end of every chapter. A certificate is awarded on completion of the chapter.
